Curriculum: Condensed Matter Physics
The student will be able to use the theoretical and experimental knowledge acquired in the courses of this curriculum to analyze and tackle an array of problems typical of this research field such as for example: (a) modelling an electronic or a photonic system with the computation of the eigenstates and of the eletctronic, optical, magnetic and transport properties; (b) constructing an experimental setup for the measurement of the physical properties of a solid state system; (c) interpreting experimental data, analyzing and modelling them with a phenomenological approach.
