LM+ Company Event 22 May 2026

As part of the Lauree Master's Degree PLUS project, a meeting will be held on May 22nd at 2:30 pm in Room 101 of the Department of Physics to present the companies and their projects. This meeting is aimed at informing first-year students of the Master's Degree in Physical Sciences in particular.

Professor Pietro Galinetto, LM+ coordinator for Physical Sciences, will open the meeting, explaining the Lauree Master's Degree Plus project, its features, and implementation timelines.

This will be followed by presentations by managers from the companies and organizations partnering with our degree program: Fondazione CNAO, Bright Solutions, CEA-LETI, LIST, and STAM.

Students will have the opportunity to meet and engage with the companies, and the companies will be able to explore their interest in the project, explain the areas in which in-company experience is possible, and discuss potentially related thesis topics.

The master's degree program in Physics takes part in the LM+ program of the University of Pavia. The aim is to organize and coordinate an activity aimed at integrating the knowledge acquired thanks to the courses at the university with an experience in the private sector on in other external organizations.

Within the LM+ program, the student shall be enrolled for 5 semesters rather than the standard 4. Two of these semesters will be devouted to taking part in an internship, which can also take place abroad. The goal is to integrate the curricular knowledge with a "hands-on" experience. During the internship the student will receive a refund of expenses of at least 500€ each month, depending on where the internship takes place.

The LM+ course manager is Prof. Pietro Galinetto.
